Caring for your tapestry
Tapestries are designed to be lived with and require very little maintenance to preserve their beauty over time, but a few simple practices will keep your heirloom-quality piece looking its best for years to come.
Dusting
Gently dust with a soft brush or vacuum using a clean upholstery attachment on low suction. Work from top to bottom and avoid harsh agitation.
Spot Cleaning
Blot spills immediately with a clean, damp cloth. Use a mild detergent only if needed and always test a small, hidden area first.
Creases + Wrinkles
Lightly press the back with a steam iron on medium heat using a protective cloth. Avoid direct moisture, which can stretch the fibers.
Storage
Roll, do not fold, using acid-free tissue or muslin. Store in a cool, dry, well-ventilated space.
